From downtown SF...
- You can travel south (towards Silicon Valley)
on "Mission street". Beware the ever treacherous Mission street traffic.
The cross streets will get larger and larger.
Keep going past 20th, 26th, and Cesar Chavez.
- Keep going on Mission. You'll pass by the Bernal Heights neighborhood
(not that there's any sign saying so). You'll pass a stop light at
"Cortland".
- Then there will be a quite long slow hill (yup, still on Mission).
Go down the hill.
- Near the bottom of the hill look for Joes Cable car on the right.
Joe grinds his own chuck daily. Tons of neon signs.
Silver Avenue is also a good landmark that's at the bottom of the hill.
- Make a left uphill when you get to Excelsior.
Go up 2 blocks. Right onto Paris. We're 226 Paris on the right.
It's a two story white house with pastel cake icing trim.
It's on the left hand side of the street.
- Walk up the steps and ring the doorbell. When a person answers the door,
pretend to be gypsy fortune teller.
If your south of the city and want to take 101 to get to
San Francisco, here are directions...
It is a bit tricky. I recommend bringing a map of San Francisco.
It's good to have one person drive and another navigate.
- take 101 (north)
- After you pass South San Francisco (the industrial city) pay more
attention.
Go several miles past the airport.
Go past a large body of water on your right.
Go past "3Com" park.
Now start paying attention.
A fork in the road is coming up. If you went right you would go to 380/280.
Don't go right. Do go left, but stay in the far right lane after the split.
- Get off at the second Silver avenue exit (has a very short off ramp)
(There may be two silver exists, make sure you get the
correct one. The incorrect one says "Third street". DO NOT get off at the
Silver avenue that says "Third street".)
If you hit Army/Cesar Chavez you've passed the correct Silver Avenue exit.
- Make an immediate left onto Bayshore. The road doesn't let you go strait.
- and then another immediate left onto silver (Drive carefully).
- Go down silver for, um, maybe 3 miles till you hit Madrid.
Madrid is just a little bit after a stop sign.
Don't make a left on to Madrid, but do make a left on the next street
which is "Lisbon".
- Go two blocks on Lisbon and make a right onto Excelsior.
- Go one block on Excelsior and make a left onto Paris.
- Go a few houses (maybe 7) in on the right. Look for 226 Paris Street.
The house is white with cake icing for trim. Walk up the stairs and ring the door bell.
When a person opens the door, ask them for a donation and try to convert
them to the way of the lord.
